This Privacy Policy explains how Voxnote collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Voxnote app and related services.
Information we process
We process account and authentication data; notes, audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, selected text, and questions you submit; sync metadata; subscription and entitlement information supplied by Apple; and limited technical data needed for security, reliability, and usage limits.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, sync your notes, transcribe audio, generate summaries, answer questions about your notes, restore interrupted uploads, enforce usage limits, verify subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability.
AI processing
Content you submit for transcription, summarization, or AI questions may be sent to service providers that process it on our behalf. We limit the data sent to what is needed for the requested feature and require providers to protect it under their applicable terms.
Storage and retention
Notes and generated content that you choose to sync are stored in our cloud service and on your device. Audio and operational records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to provide, recover, secure, and maintain the service, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your cloud data and account.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with infrastructure, authentication, payment, transcription, and AI providers acting for us; when you direct us to; or when required to protect users, enforce our terms, or comply with law. Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple's own privacy policy.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network transport and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
You control which recordings, notes, and selected text you submit. You can edit or delete local notes in the app, manage subscriptions through Apple, and contact us to access, correct, export, or delete cloud account data, subject to legal and security requirements.
Children
Voxnote is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app.
